On Monday, May 4th, 15 fair trade advocates representing 20 TradeJustice New York Metro member and ally groups met with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's Special Assistant for Economic Development to express our concerns about Fast Track and the terrible trade deals it will help railroad through Congress. Two days later, we received this exciting news:

Subject: POLITICO's Morning Trade: Reid’s power play rankles GOP — 12 Dems press Obama on human rights, labor in TPP — ISDS debate intensifies in Europe Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand's office told POLITICO on Tuesday that the New York Democrat would vote 'no' on TPA. "She has serious concerns about it and about how previous trade deals have been implemented, many of which have had negative long-term impacts on Upstate New York manufacturing jobs," her spokeswoman, Lauren Passalacqua, said in an email.

Please call Senator Gillibrand at (202) 224-4451 or email using her webform at to express your thanks!
